Stress

Who would have thought the holidays could be stressful? Maybe the holiday itself is not, but certain activities are. What I am talking about is driving - night driving in particular. I've been told that once you get use to it, night driving is better than day. But at the initial stages its harder, more stressful and energy draining. No street lights, relying just on the headlights of the car and those around you. Suddenly, you feel as though you lose some of your senses - you feel that you can no longer see where you are going. No longer can you see the surrounding cues which usually indicate how fast you are going. No longer can you see the street names or the streets themselves. You just feel so blinded...

I think it's difficult when you're driving to new places in the dark. The worse time to drive is probably dawn/dusk - when the sun's directly in your eyes, it's not bright enough yet, but it's not dark enough for headlights.
